Inflation or Defaltion? That is the question.

Before and if gold goes to infinity, are we due for a contraction causing significant rise in the USD.

My best guess...lots of cash on the sidelines (TARP + whatever else the FED needs) so any debt problems will be offset immediately by an infusion of cash (substantial).

I vote for inflation this fall.

Boy the thought of deflation is a huge concern here. CNBC giving this as a real possibility.

Obama, Geithner, and Bernanke all say "Keep the money flowing".

I believe them. What was life like in Germany between 1917 and 1923? And how did they get there anyways?

the fed will never allow deflation. they will run the presses until the bearings smoke. deflation shuts down the economy and stops the tax dollars from flowing. there is just too much debt out there for the fed to let that happen.
